A morning at Dogwood
The rhythm stays the same all year, and the farm changes what fills it.

An adult greets each child at the gate and signs them in. Boots go on, hands get a first wash and everyone has a look at the sky.

Help with boots and layers

Children collect eggs, fill the water buckets and scatter the feed, one job at a time with an adult beside them. Then they wash their hands again.

The morning follows the day: the garden and kitchen, the orchard and pasture, the woods edge or a make day in the schoolhouse.
A headcount at every stop
A story, a song or a stretch before the walk back

Back at the schoolhouse, children wash up for lunch from home, then settle into a story circle. Families collect at the gate.
